Here is a breakdown of the essential equipment needed to host a SpeedQuizzing Pro Quiz Night in a bar, pub, club, school, collage or any other real world venue or location.
Laptop
We’ll start with your laptop of choice. Whatever brand you have at hand or choose to use, it needs to have an i5 processor or above to be able to handle the SpeedQuizzing software in conjunction with any Record Case you maybe possibly want to use.
The main two recommended operating system available globally are Apple and Windows based laptops.
Pocket Hub / Mini Router
The other essential ingredient needed to host a SpeedQuizzing Quiz Night as part of your equipment is one of the SpeedQuizzing recommended Pocket Hubs / Mini Routers. This small but powerful device will allow you to connect up-to 64 devices (quiz teams). Other bigger and stronger recommended hubs / routers are available through SpeedQuizzing for very large or venues with unusual floor-plans, however we recommend the Pocket Hub as the perfect starter option. Please note that if required in the future this standard Pocket Hub can be expanded up coverage wise with the use of extra repeater hubs.
These are available directly from SpeedQuizzing themselves at £40 + VAT (£48) – LINK
Once purchased, delivery of your Pocket Hub in the UK usually takes no more than one to two days max.
PA System
There are generally two ways to make yourself and the audio from the SpeedQuizzing software heard. One is through a small / large portable PA system (depending on your audience or venue size. The other is by plugging into an established in-house speaker system that most pub, clubs, bars and restaurant have these days.
For size, convenience we would reccomend a 10″ powered speaker with either a microphone input or even
